It is a nice thing to be able to sit back and think, ‘These are good days.’ It’s a honeymoon time for me in Hong Kong right now – everything is incredible. My limited bag of positive adjectives is constantly exhausted and overused. There are only so many times you can say ‘fantastic’, ‘wonderful’, ‘awesome’…

Today was one of the best days of my entire life. Dressing up in fantastic Avengers costumes and spending two and a half hours in camera flashes at a giant anime convention? Didn’t think that would get crossed off the bucket list so soon! or ever… In general, I eat too much pizza and play too much Playstation, and I love my job and the people I work with. The community is growing, and I have a fantastic roommate. My favorite band in the world came out with a new album the other day, and I’ve been listening to only a couple songs a day, saving the whole tracklist, savoring each song like pieces of chocolate.

I don’t want to sound gushing or anything. Things are just… good right now. It’s the feeling of being on a patio with a Mexican beer and a lime. Everything’s not perfect, not in the least; just like on the patio, it might be a bit humid, and there is a lot to do… but it’s a great day, and you’re on the way to something fun, and even though it won’t last forever, it is nice to sit here now, content, and enjoy the breeze and watch the sky.
